Ti: Sapphire

The transition metal-doped laser crystal known as Ti: sapphire crystal, also called titanium-doped sapphire crystal, has excellent all-around characteristics. Titanic-doped sapphire is the most commonly used optically pumped solid-state laser crystal in adjustable wavelength lasers, with a tunable range of 650-1100nm and the largest peak of 800nm among wavelength-tunable laser crystals.

The value of FOM is an important parameter to characterize titanium gem crystals, usually called the quality factor.
